Try and get your holiday tasks done early this year so that you can spend more time together during them. Also, when you do have holiday tasks try doing them together.

If you have children, see if grandparents and other loved ones may watch them while you take a couple hours out just for the two of you. Tell them that you have a special moment planned and need their help to achieve it. Go on a date to the movies, take in a special meal, take a romantic walk and if you can sneak off to a private place... plan ahead for making it spicy!

While surprises are nice, sometimes it is fun to get a special gift for you both together. Buy something for the two of you that you pick out together and can enjoy together. From a vacation to romantic items that will bring you both pleasure.

Give gifts that get to the heart of things. Don't just buy random gifts for your partner. Look at what it is that moves them. For example, if they are into cooking think about a special cooking class which you can also go to. The list goes on and on... if they are into sports, the theatre or music, get them tickets to an event which you can both attend.

Make attempts at spending time together, bonding and focusing on things that bring your heart joy. Perhaps even volunteering time together at a charity helping those less fortunate can be a holiday event you both share in.

The point is to make meaningful memories together, because after all, isn't that what matters the most in life?
