Who Is More Ugly?

Hong Kong, Northern China: A man named Jian Feng, 38 y.o., took great pride in his attractive wife for the two years they were married until she had a child. No, it's not what you think... he was not upset by her appearance after the birth of the child as she did her all to stay in good shape. No, the problem arose when Jian became horrified at the sight of what he considered an ugly baby- his daughter. He immediately assumed his wife had an affair because he felt that he could never produce such an "ugly" child with his beautiful wife. But it was not so. His wife defended their child saying that the baby looked like her before $127,000 worth of plastic surgery she had before she'd met him and showed him a "before" picture to prove it. Jian filed for divorce and successfully sued her for deceit. He was awarded $99,700.00

Who do you think is uglier? I personally think that Jian has such an ugly, cold heart that no amount of plastic surgery could ever make him attractive. The fact that he actually won the settlement against his wife... well, it just goes to show what we too often value in our world. Personally, I believe that the most beautiful people in this world are those who come from a place of love and compassion regardless of their natural or enhanced looks. Just think about this... if we are lucky, we will live to be very old, and lose our youth. We all end up "ugly" if we are blessed to make it to old age... and what makes our lives worth living is knowing that it was not surface looks that we valued most, but our own heart's evolution.
