This is news to me! I did not even know they were related... oh, that is right they aren't! Yes, Texas has another person up in arms about sexuality. It turns out that a homecoming tradition in which boys dress like girls and vice versa in a tiny Texas school district won't be held after a homophobic parent complained about what she regarded as the event's homosexual overtones.

Despite the fact that the school has done this during their spirit week for not just years, but generations it seems a bit odd that someone would suddenly complain. However, Delana Davies, 33, said she complained after reading a school notice about it. Davies, whose 9-year-old son and 4-year-old daughter attend Spurger Elementary, said she viewed the day not as a silly Homecoming Week activity, but rather something related to homosexuality. ``It's like experimenting with drugs,'' Davies said. ``You just keep playing with it and it becomes customary. ... If it's OK to dress like a girl today, then why is it not OK in the future?''

First of all Delana, let me explain to you that many cross dressers are not gay, so you may want to expand your mind a bit before you begin your backward crusade. What we do know is that men who have had life long desires to be a cross dresser have been found to have brains much like a female and that it is truly a physical and chemical difference that comes into play.

Secondly, having kids dress up for fun as the opposite sex is not going to contribute to someone choosing a life of homosexuality. I know that many people think that gays develop from such ridiculous things, and we also thought that masturbation could make you blind or grow hair on your palms. Time we all joined this century and be a bit more educated on the topics that we as people tend to go running around preaching hate and fear about... shall we?
