EROTICA BALL 2006
The
Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art, forging ahead with its
mission to present the evolution of contemporary art in
the broadest possible sense, is retiring the Exotica Erotica
Ball. This huge fund-raising Halloween event, after a successful
15-year-run, will be imaginatively overhauled by The Collection.
In its place, a new holiday benefit party-"The Ball"-will
debut Friday, October 27th from 9:00 pm to 2:00 am. The
event will be coordinated and hosted by The Collection,
the auxiliary organization of the museum made up of a community
of progressive individuals dedicated to supporting the museum
through socially-oriented artistic events.

For
many years, the Exotica Erotica Ball was held at the Boulder Theater.
This party, sponsored by the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art
(BMOCA) drew
up to 1,000 costumed guests and was a mainstay in the fall party
scene. Now that BMOCA will no longer offer the Exotica Erotica
Ball, many of the party goers from that event will be attending
our version--held at the seductive and beautiful FlashDance Studios!
This party is by invitation only, continue reading to learn how
you can get invited. Please do not delay. This is the first time
in 15 years there will be no BMOCA Exotica Erotica Ball in Boulder.
Our capacity is less than one-fifth that of the Boulder Theater.
