How
To Use A
Vibrator
|
The
Buzz...
Vibrators
provide amazing stimulation to a woman's clitoris, to men
and women's nipples & anus as well as a man's penis.
There are many varieties of ways you can use them. In
general, focus on what feels good to you, not just what
you may think is "normal." There is no right or
wrong choice, rather what is right for you.

Basic
rules to keep in mind are-
| 1) |
Waterproof
Vs. Water Resistant
Only
use waterproof or water-resistant
vibrators in water. Be careful to note when something
is waterproof vs. water-resistant.
A basic rule of thumb regarding waterproof means that you
can submerge it, whereas water resistant means you can get
it wet, but not submerge. Make sure to keep rechargeable
sex toys clear of being exposed to water or moisture through
their plug in areas to avoid damage or even electrical shock.
|
| 2) |
Quality
Vibrators- How Can You Tell?
Buy
quality vibrators from a reliable source that will replace
them if they do not work when you buy them (like we do).
We carry many quality made vibrators and provide our
recommendations.
|
| 3) |
Cleaning
Make
sure to clean sex toys
after use to prevent transmission of STDs or bacteria build
up that can cause urinary tract infections (UTI). The best
way to clean sex toys is to use a sex
toy cleaner which is safe for the product and won't
damage it, while it provides antibacterial protection.

Power
Do you
prefer something that requires batteries, is rechargeable
or plugs in? There are pros and cons to each-
Battery Pros & Cons
A sex toy that requires batteries affords the user to operate
without cords and provides a larger variety of sex toys
to choose from as most require batteries. These can be costly
if not using rechargeable batteries by having to keep replacing
them. These can be bad for recycling purposes if you use
non-recyclable batteries and therefore bad for the environment.
We recommend getting rechargeable batteries to counter the
cons if you get a battery operated sex toy. Make
sure to take batteries out in-between use to extend the
life of your vibrator, and especially while traveling
with sex toys to avoid embarrassing buzzing suitcases.
Rechargeable
Pros & Cons
Rechargeable sex toys do not require batteries and
are therefore, better for the environment and less
expensive to maintain. Depending on the quality
of the toy, they may not hold the charge for long.
These may also require long charging periods and
may not work unless fully charged; making it important
to plan on having it charged before your next use.
Some rechargeable may not allow you to use it while
it is charging.
Plug
In Pros & Cons
Electric sex toys are often some of the most powerful
vibrators and offer a deep vibration that others
cannot compare to. You do not have to worry about
costly batteries, the effect of batteries on the
environment or planning to make sure your toy is
charged. These can limit how far you can move around
(we recommend getting an extension cord). The cord
may get tangled or get in the way during wild sexual
adventures. These also cannot ever get wet as they
may create the risk of electrical shock. We recommend
wiping down with a moist wash cloth when it is unplugged
that has been sprayed with sex
toy cleaner.

What
Is The Right Vibrator For You?
Read
how to choose the right
vibrator for you if you are unsure of what kind to purchase.
|
| 6) |
Don't
Underestimate The Pleasure Of Lubricant
Adding
a small amount of water based lubricant
to your vibrator play can enhance the sensation and decrease
the chance of irritation. Oil Based Lubricants can sometimes
lend themselves to irritation and vaginal infections, so
we recommend water based for that reason. They can also
melt and break down the materials used to make sex toys
so we always recommend erring on the side of waterbased
lubricants when using any sex toy.
|
| 7) |
The
Need For Speed
Experiment
with speed levels- if you find the vibrations to be too
intense reduce the speed of the vibrator. You can also decrease
the intensity by placing a wash cloth over the surface area
of the vibrator, but just holding the vibrator more lightly
on a low setting should do the trick. If the vibrations
are not intense enough, turn up the speed or increase the
pressure of the vibrator against your body.
|
| 8) |
Small
Vibrators
Just
because it is small, does not mean it is cannot be powerful.
The Berman Athena
is an example of a little one that surprisingly strong.
Smaller vibrators make moving them around easier, they are
good to travel with and can be introduced into sexual positions
a bit easier. One amazing new vibrator can be worn during
intercourse and stimulates both the gspot and the clitoris.
It is the popular We-Vibe
Eggs
and Bullets can be used internally (on the g-spot and
prostate) or externally (on the clitoris and nipples). Be
careful when using bullets anally as the sphincter muscle
is strong and the cord can become detached.
|
| 9) |
Anal
Sex Toys
For
anal vibrators remember
that the anus is a very sensitive area. As the anus has
no natural lubrication, it is important to use plenty of
lubricant. Start by just touching and stroking the outside
of the anus. When you feel you are ready, insert the vibrator,
moving it in and out slowly. Make sure to clean your vibrator
afterward with a disinfectant as risk of STD and bacteria
transmission is high form anal use, as a preventative measure
you can simply slide a condom
over the vibrator to keep it clean..
|
| 10) |
Women's
Multiple Orgasms
If your vibrator has variable speeds, try using it on low
and then increasing the intensity slowly, bringing lots
of blood to the clitoris and labia, and then experiencing
a big wave of orgasm. Then after a minute or two, go back
to low and start all over again. See if you can have multiple
orgasms as many women find they are able to using this approach.
|
| 11) |
Using
Sex Toys Together
Don't
forget that you can use vibrators simultaneously with finger,
tongue and penis stimulation. Using a vibrator creatively
can make one's sex life a lot of fun! Another combination
that people often forget about is the use of a vibrating
cock ring on a dildo
or penis to provide dual stimulation!
|
| 12) |
Men Can Use Them Too
Men
are sometimes hesitant to try using a vibrator on themselves
regardless of sexual orientation, but are often surprised
at how pleasurable they are on nerve rich areas such as
testicles, the head of their penis, nipples, anus and even
prostate.
