New
Human Rights Campaign President
Political activist Joe Solmonese has taken the top job at the
nation's largest homosexual advocacy group. Joe is a forty-year-old
the former CEO of EMILY's List, is the new president of the Human
Rights Campaign.
Shortly
after he starts his new job in mid-April, Solmonese said he plans
to tour the country, in an effort to "broaden the American conversation
about equality," and he's urging the "GLBT" community to enlist
the support of straight Americans. He plans to ask every "GLBT"
American to "enlist three new allies - a straight co-worker, a
friend and a family member -- in our work for full equality."
