An obscenity
charge has been dropped against Joanne Webb whom received nationwide
attention in the United States when she was arrested for selling
two sex toys to undercover police officers posing as a couple.
Just days ago, the judge dismissed the case against Joanne.
Johnson County Attorney Bill Moore said in a statement in Cleburne,
Texas that he asked the judge for the dismissal to prevent wasting
county resources. This also came after many eMails, letters
and calls to his office asking that the case be dropped... many

Joanne was
arrested on November 13, 2003 about a month after the undercover
officers approached her at her husband’s business in Burleson,
about 10 miles south of Fort Worth, and bought two sex toys.
Had she been convicted of violating Texas’ obscenity law, she
could have been sentenced to a year in jail and a $4,000 fine.
According to the state’s obscenity code, an obscene device is
a simulated sexual organ or an item designed to stimulate the
genitals. Adult stores get around the law by posting signs that
say “sold only as novelties”.

As mentioned
in our first article covering this case it's suspected that
Joanne's miniskirts and hairstyles have brought undo attention,
and there was an instance two years ago when the pastor of their
Baptist Church suggested that she should change her attire or
find another place to worship. Joanne's main critic has been
identified as Shanda Perkins, whose brother, Stuart Gillespie,
is a city councilman and promotes his religious beliefs on the
city's Web site.
Instead
of showing regret or remorse for putting Joanne through this
Shanda Perkins is now reported to be telling people that Joanne
planned this whole thing to make her look bad. She has been
reported to say that Joanne knew that if she joined her business
to the Chamber she would have to do something about it. In addition,
Shanda Perkins has also been reported to say that a plan this
elaborate and well organized could only be led by the devil.
So naturally, Joanne must be possessed. It is our hope that
Shandra seek psychiatric assistance as soon as possible.

Hi Lisa,
Yes, it's
true, the charges were dropped! We have yet to receive anything
official, but our local paper confirmed that the County Attorney's
office issued a press release that said they were going to drop
the charges because they didn't want to "waste county resources".
It took
them 8 months to figure that out??? I'm not sure all that this
means. Whether or not I can start doing parties in Burleson
again or not.
Though my
personal fight is ending, the fight to challenge the constitutionality
of this law is just beginning. I am going to join the civil
action suit against the law that my lawyer filed in Dallas last
February. This was one of the main reasons for the defense fund.
For the Constitutional law lawyers to help us. They can run
anywhere from $35,000-$50,000 each. We have raised $15,000 so
far. The need is still great.
No woman
should be made to feel that it's obscene to be educated on how
her body was created to work. We can have Bob Dole on public
television promoting the joys of Viagra, but when a woman is
invited into a private home to tell women how they can achieve
the same joys... I will fight this fight as long as it's necessary,
all the way to the Supreme Court!

A "silent
killer," ovarian
cancer symptoms include increased bloating and abdominal size,
pressure to urinate, constipation, and abdominal pain. These
easily overlooked symptoms can be the difference in early detection
and losing the life and death battle with this terrible disease.
Women need
to be aware of this cluster of symptoms so that early
detection of ovarian cancer occurs. It doesn't mean that if
you have these symptoms that you have ovarian cancer, but the
symptoms should be investigated to see what it is, because even
if it is not a malignancy, it could be something else such as
an ovarian cyst or endometriosis.
Ovarian
cancer is highly undetectable through symptoms in the early
stages ... any symptoms are usually vague, nonspecific, and
doctors tend to blow them off.
Many women
see numerous doctors for their symptoms, including gastrointestinal
specialists, before ovarian cancer is even suspected. Unfortunately,
the symptoms are most noticeable when cancer is advanced and
the chances of death are high. When the mass [in the ovary]
is significant in size, that's when symptoms are more intense
and often too late. This is why there is a strong need for better,
ongoing doctor/patient communication. Women know their bodies,
and when something changes, they need to make sure the physician
is aggressive in evaluating it.
Screening
for Ovarian Cancer
Compared
with women without cancer, those with ovarian cancer were-
7 times
more likely to have increased abdominal size.
4 times
more likely to have bloating.
2.5 times
more likely to have increased urgency to urinate.
2 times
more likely to have pelvic and abdominal pain.
The symptoms
clustered together of bloating, increased abdominal size, and
urinary symptoms was found in 43% of women with cancer. Only
8% of the other women had this pattern. Also, younger women
reported more symptoms, whereas postmenopausal women didn't
have any symptoms, except for urinary symptoms.
If anything
is different from the normal, you need to be seeing a doctor.
If you're not satisfied with the response you get, if your symptoms
don't resolve, if you're told it's in your head, insist that
your doctor find out what it is or get another doctor. It could
mean your life!

Perhaps
while you were having sex, you suddenly realize that the condom
isn't on anymore. You look everywhere and still can't find the
condom. Is it possible to have the condom stuck inside of you?
How far up could the condom go?
A condom
cannot go up into your body and enter your uterus, but can get
up inside an area called the fornix.
If you
imagine your cervix to be the "wall" of a castle, the fornix
would be the "moat" around it. In other words, there's a slightly
recessed area around the circle of your cervix into which something
like a condom could get tucked. Keep in mind that while some
lost condoms wind up there others get lost in bunched up sheets
or between the mattress and the wall or some other obscure place.
Make sure to look around you in addition to inside you.
What
To Do If It Is Inside You
Have your
partner sweep their third finger (with hopefully short fingernails)
around the outer circle of your cervix. Your partner may feel
it and be able to pull it out. If you can get a flashlight and

try douching or using the stream of a tub facet, or removable

to read. Over the past few months, my girlfriend and I
have been stalked by someone on AOL. This person changes
screen names very often and has even "cloned" my screen
name to impersonate me, ie. talking to people in IM's
and chat rooms pretending to be me. Just for information
you can use, AOL seems to care nothing about this kind
of threat and does nothing to protect their members who
are being harassed and stalked. Both myself and my girlfriend
have had to file reports with the IFCC but still nothing
