Description
Algin
(Alginate, Alginic Acid) is a viscous gum extracted from the cell
walls of brown algae.
Seaweed has
been used as food for humans and animals for thousands of years.
Its derivatives are commonly used in the food industry, the cosmetic
industry, and in medicine and dentistry.
Algin
is used as a thickening and gelling agent in cosmetics, personal
care products,ice cream and drinks.

contains Algin.
Some of other
uses of Algin are in pharmaceutical preparations and for thickening
soups and jellies.

Algin
is nontoxic. If you have an allergy to fish it is recommended
