Cyberskin
Guide
To Materials
Sex
Toys & More
Cyberskin
is a trademarked name for a variation soft Thermo Plastic Elastomer,
a mixture of polyvinyl chloride and silicone. TPE is a polymer
that has many uses, one being sex toys.
Example
Many
sex toys are made of Cyberskin.
A few examples are the Cyberskin
Dream and the Double
Pleasure Comfort Grip Stroker.
TPE
has many other uses as well. Some examples are automobile airbag
covers, yoga mats and medical catheters.
Allergy
Or Toxin Warnings
Cyberskin is phthalate
free. Due to the porous nature of this material, we recommend
the use of a condom to limit exposure to harmful bacteria.
Cleaning
Recommendations
Cyberskin is extremely porous and should be cleaned between each
use with warm water and soap or anti
bacterial sex toy cleaners. Once dry, sprinkle with the included
"renewing" powder or cornstarch.
Never use talcum powder or baby powder, as these can cause irritation
and sometimes larger problems for women. Corn starch and a soft
cloth may also be used to bring the toy back to life. (Talcum
powder has been implicated as a possible cause of ovarian cancer.)
We highly
recommend storing Cyberskin items in a storage/separation
bag or wrapped in thin material, as the porous surface can
absorb anything it comes in contact with. It is also recommended
that you store Cyberskin toys in a cool, dark place.
Lubricants
Use
only water based lubricants
with Cyberskin. Silicone or petroleum based oils will damage
this material. We also recommend using a condom with Cyberskin
products, as they easily absorb germs and bacteria due to the
porosity of the material.
