SoftTouch
Sex Toy Material
SoftTouch
is a trademarked brand of products made from a variation of
thermoplastic elastomer made to mimic real skin. TPE is a mixture
of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and silicone. TPE is a polymer that
has many uses, one being sex toys. The production process to
make TPE is much more eco-friendly than making latex and rubber.

Example
An example of an adult toy made of this material is the Infrared Rechargeable
Massager that includes interchangeable heads made of SoftTouch. TPE
has many other uses such as automobile airbag covers, yoga mats and
medical catheters.
Allergy
Or Toxin Warnings
SoftTouch is hypoallergenic and phthalate free.
Cleaning
Recommendations
SoftTouch should be cleaned with mild soap and warm water or antibacterial
sex toy cleaners. Once dry, sprinkle with the included "renewing"
powder or cornstarch. Never use talcum powder or baby powder, as these
can cause irritation and sometimes larger problems for women. Corn
starch and a soft cloth may also be used to bring the toy back to
life. (Talcum powder has been implicated as a possible cause of ovarian
cancer.) We highly recommend storing SoftTouch items in an individual
storage/separation bag or wrapped in thin material, as the porous
surface can absorb anything it comes in contact with. It is also recommended
that you store SoftTouch toys in a cool, dark place.
Lubricants
Waterbased only. Silicone or oil base lubricants will damage this
material. We also recommend using a condom with SoftTouch products,
as they easily absorb germs and bacteria due to the high porosity
of the material.
Recycling
Information
TPE is recyclable. The recycle process is in two parts. First the
production waste is recycled and then the finished product can be
recycled as well.
